‘House of a Writer’ is an awarded and exhibited project located in Voula, Greece. The main idea develops around a hovering prysm -the binocular- where the writer of the house withdraws himself to enter his personal world while in parallel he has acoustical and partial visual contact with the rest of the house. A 5 meter raw concrete wall operates as a vertical scene in the main living space where daily ‘family plays’ take place. Physical light operated as a design tool and enters space through a thin slot of the ceiling surface. Public space from private areas of the resident are separated and connected by an exterior atrium penetrated in the main volume of the project.
